Three Oaks Parkway Extension Project

Development of a 4-lane divided roadway, 5-foot-wide bike lanes and 8-foot-wide sidewalk on the west side of the roadway and a 6-foot-wide sidewalk on the east side of the roadway in Phase 1. In Phase 2 there are 6-foot-wide sidewalks on both sides of the roadway.

Phase 1 Segment

The first segment includes roadway north of Alico Road from Fiddlesticks Canal to the vicinity of Indian Paint Lane

Phase 2 Segment

The second segment includes roadway from the vicinity of Indian Paint Lane to the Daniels Parkway intersection at Fiddlesticks Boulevard/Palomino Lane. In addition, Daniels Parkway will be widened to eight lanes from Danport Boulevard/Renaissance Way to Powers Court/Appaloosa Lane.

Lee County announces opening of Three Oaks Parkway Extension to vehicles

Opening is 18 months ahead of schedule

Fort Myers, FL, Nov. 3, 2026 – Beginning today, vehicles are using the newly constructed Three Oaks Parkway Extension from Alico Road to Daniels Parkway.

Lee County opened the new roadway to traffic following a ribbon cutting celebrated by about 120 attendees including elected officials, first responders, neighbors, local business representatives, Lee County staff and project team.

The project was completed nearly 18 months ahead of schedule, which was originally anticipated in mid-2028. Contactors will remain onsite completing punch list items and final completion is scheduled for early 2027.

At Daniels Parkway, the intersection of Three Oaks Parkway/Palomino Lane will be improved, and Daniels Parkway will be widened to eight lanes from Danport Boulevard to Apaloosa Lane / Powers Court. The roadway section is a four-lane divided roadway with two 11-foot-wide lanes in each direction, a 5-foot-wide bike lane and 6-foot-wide sidewalk on each side of the roadway. The median width varies from 14 feet to 18 feet. A new roundabout at Fiddlesticks Boulevard and Old Fiddlesticks Boulevard provides access to the Publix Shopping Center.

The Three Oaks Parkway Extension Project is underway. The County divided the Three Oaks Parkway Extension Project into two phases. The Phase 1 Segment begins north of Alico Road from the Fiddlesticks Canal to the vicinity of Indian Paint Lane. The Phase 2 Segment is from the vicinity of Indian Paint Lane to Daniels Parkway.
